Facebook / Meta Live Webinar Comments

We host live educational webinars on the Facebook Page “Indre Asada”
(Page ID: 493559610514446). During these live broadcasts, an operator
dashboard used internally by the host (Indre Asadauskienė) reads public
comments posted on the live video. This is done through the Meta Graph API
using the permission `pages_read_user_content`.

What is processed:
– Commenter name (as displayed publicly on Facebook)
– Comment text (as posted publicly to the live video)
– Comment timestamp
– Comment ID

Why:
– So the host can read viewer questions on screen and address commenters
by name during the live broadcast.

How long it is retained:
– Comments are held in the dashboard’s server memory only for the
duration of the live session (typically 60-90 minutes).
– All comment data is automatically purged when the live session ends.
– We do not write Facebook comment data to any persistent storage,
database, or log file.

Who it is shared with:
– No one. Comment data is displayed only to the authenticated Page admin
(the host) on the operator dashboard. We do not share Facebook user
data with any third party, advertiser, or analytics provider.

Your rights as a Facebook commenter:
– Comments you post publicly on a Facebook Page’s live video are governed
by Facebook’s own privacy controls. To remove a comment from our view,
delete it on Facebook — the dashboard reflects Facebook’s current state
in real time.
– For questions about how we handle Facebook comment data, contact us at
[email protected].

Lawful basis (GDPR):
– Article 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in operating a public educational
broadcast where the data subjects have voluntarily and publicly posted
comments to a public live video.
